Princess Estelle's Christening, 22 May 2012
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs was responsible for media accreditation for the Christening. The period of application for accreditation was 25 April - 9 May.
An approved accreditation provides access to briefings and detailed information about arrangements in connection with the Christening.
An accreditation-badge together with a special pool-card/position-card was required for access to designated areas for media around and in the Royal Palace. These areas had a very limited number of seats:
OUTER COURTYARD, THE ROYAL PALACE
Limited photo opportunity/media position.
Arrival of guests e.g. Swedish officials, Swedish business community, the diplomatic corps and private guests pass the position on foot, before entering the Royal Palace. Royal guests and other international high level guests will pass the Outer Courtyard by car.
SOUTH VAULT (SOUTH ENTRANCE), THE ROYAL PALACE
Photo pool.
Position is opposite the entrance to the Royal Chapel.
All guests will pass this position on foot, ascending the stairs to the Royal Chapel - and after the christening ceremony descending the same stairs.
THE CHRISTENING CEREMONY
A number of Swedish and international media companies have been invited by the Swedish Royal Court to attend the Christening Ceremony in the Royal Chapel. Reporters only.
